"Rainbow Body"
An On-going Collage Series

The Rainbow has symbolized hope in my work since my very first drawings. My children also featured it in their art. Rainbow Body is a large group that includes of works from oil paintings of the 1980’s to the more current collages seen here that I offer as rays of hope.
The seven panels in this series were created for "Honoring the Ancestors", at Weyrich Gallery, Albuquerque, NM, November 2003 and are now in a private collection there. Each layer was imagined and brought about through my connection with my ancestors. There are many layers, white on white scripts, (which you, the viewer know the meaning of) symbols and the Golden Rectangle were then glazed with the rainbow colors. A friend described Buddhist teachings she was receiving as a preparation for death about attaining the Rainbow Light Body. I was amazed! The use of white petals and messages floating down like confetti conveys spirit and death. I collaged several images from "House of Ancestor" oil painting series. The place of the Rainbow Light and the Clear Light is without shadow as seen in the prism in each panel. As messages become translated to our dimension they take on a shadow. The Ancestors like being symbolized by trees and leaves of trees. Each panel has specific messages about the chakra it corresponds to.
