365 Postcards with Messages of World Celebrations and Events

This DVD slide show of 730 images is a show and tell about World celebrations, wisdom traditions, events worthy of remembrance, seasonal and cosmic cycles, holidays and holy days from ancient times to the present.

This project to create a postcard a day for a year was inspired on January 29, 2006, which happened to be the Tibetan New Year, the Year of the Yang Fire Dog.  It was also the New Moon, an auspicious time to begin. The theme of the messages is how cultures experience and celebrate life and to make note of memorable events from ancient times to the present. Some days in each year will be the same; July 4 will always be Independence Day in the U.S. Some traditions, like the Jewish religion, base their calendar on the lunar cycle, thus, they are movable feasts.
 
Knowing where you stand in the big scheme of things puts you in the right place at the right time.

 Each day is an opportunity to be thoughtful about the happenings of the world, bringing meaning and depth to the day. As you look at the postcards, journey through each day of the year and celebrate life!
